My straightforward labor and speedy go back to pre-pregnancy body.
My labor was one of the most empowering example of my well being. My labor was also much less painful as I had expected. I gave birth to my daughter in April in 2010 and I am already back to the clothes I wore before I became pregnant in reality I’ve been back in them since about July. I was fit enough to go back to my netball team, jogging and join a zumba class only five to six weeks after I gave birth. I believe I achieved this very easy labor and resume my pre-pregnancy weight and fitness by not treating pregnancy just as one illness and following a pregnancy without pounds programme.
So the fact that was my labor like?
My contractions started about 11 o’clock for the night before I actually gave birth. The contractions felt just like a cramp you will get when you obtain your period or have really bad wind. At first they were very spread out so I visited bed as normal and experimented with get some good rest. Then at around 5 each day they got stronger and I could don’t sleep through them. I got up together a bath, the warm water really helped with the contractions. I also took some paracetamol. When I got from the bath a put my tens machine on it felt funny at first, but it surely helped. At 11am I went into hospital since the contrations were about 5 minutes apart. When I got there I was already 5cms dilated (halfway there). My husband helped by making use of pressure points that they had learnt coming from a birthing partner book I got for him. I also used a birhting ball and gas and air. Before I knew it I was 7cms dialated and they also said I could get in the birthing pool. Again the warm water really helped with the pain, it almost numbed it. At around 4pm I felt a perplexing urge to push which I couldn’t stop my body just gave the impression to control my thoughts and I don’t recall felling any pain at the pushing stage. Then by 5pm my daughter was created.
How I feel now.
I am so happy. I have started family members I have always wanted and keep my fitness. The memories from my pregnancy and labor are joyful. My confidence is high. All aspects of my relationship with my hubby are excellent. My baby girl is the better thing that ever happened if you ask me.
